Eligibility requirements

Be at least 18 years old
Apply as an individual, not as a company or trust.
At least one applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Neither you nor your spouse/partner have owned a home before July 1, 2000
Previous Home Ownership Rules
You will NOT be eligible if you or your spouse have previously:
Received a First Home Owner Grant anywhere in Australia
Owned residential property in Australia before July 1, 2000
Lived for six or more continuous months in a home you owned after July 1, 2000
